It also lets you reuse code between your project and build system since both use C. However, it requires comfort with C programming and is mainly useful for simpler C/C++ projects, not complex ones with many dependencies. According to ChainCatcher, the mainnet has adjusted the behavior and execution cost of the SELFDESTRUCT instruction.
