The Battle of Ichi-no-Tani was fought on 20 March 1184 in Japan during the Genpei War. The Minamoto clan attacked a Taira clan fortress near present-day Kobe. Minamoto no Yoshitsune and Minamoto no Noriyori led the Minamoto army. About 3,000 Minamoto soldiers fought about 5,000 Taira soldiers.
