The astrolabe is an ancient scientific tool from the 6th century used to tell time and find the positions of the Sun and stars. Mariam al-Asṭurlābiyya was a Muslim woman scientist in the Middle Ages. She studied stars and math. She built and used astrolabes to learn about the sky.
