There are often subtle signs of dysregulation before a meltdown. Often these behaviours are dismissed as being "hyper" or "attention seeking". If we stay curious and try and attune with our children, we can meet their need before their dysregulation escalates. It isn't easy in a busy life, but if we can pause and look behind the behaviour it can make a huge difference.
