The cat looked up from below. 🔻These three prepositions come from the noun низ(bottom). 💢There is a saying widely used in Russian in terms of the current political situation or decisions: • Мы думали, что (кто-то) опустился на самое дно, но тут снизу постучали. We thought that (someone) had reached rock bottom, but there came a knock from down below. 🔻It means that a situation was already considered as bad as it could possibly be.
