🇷🇺🇸🇾 On September 20, 2024, a meeting was held between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Cyprus Dr.Murat Ziazikov and Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Syrian Arab Republic in Cyprus Dr.Ammar Awad. 👍 During the traditionally warm and friendly conversation, the historically close, mutually respectful and fruitful Russian-Syrian interaction on a wide range of bilateral, regional and global issues was noted. ❗️ The key importance of joint efforts by Moscow and Damascus to create a more sustainable and just world order, resist colonial and neocolonial practices, and build interstate cooperation based on equality and a balance of interests was emphasized. 🤝 The determination to continue constructive contacts between the Russian and Syrian diplomatic missions in Nicosia was confirmed.
