🔍 State Department and Pentagon at odds over arms supplies to Ukraine, according to Politico. 🤝 While State Department actively considers providing new weapons, Pentagon takes a more cautious approach, weighing the risk of escalating the conflict. 🛡️ Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, has also delayed missile deliveries to Kyiv, fearing confrontation with Moscow. Berlin fears sending military specialists to the conflict zone could drag Germany deeper into the crisis, straining relations with Russia. 💥 Talks on security guarantees for Ukraine underway between US and Ukraine. #Geopolitics#UkraineCrisis https://www.gazeta.ru/army/news/2023/09/28/21379813.shtml Subscribe to @BadVolfNews

@RusEmbMaltaPress release. 💬Key points from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey #Lavrov’s interview with Krasnaya Zvezda media holding (March 2, 2025). 🔹 The West continues to ignore Russia's interests, expanding NATO and strengthening military presence near Russia’s borders. 🔹 Ukraine is being used as a tool to contain Russia, with its political course dictated by the West. 🔹 Sanctions have not achieved their goals; Russia’s economy has adapted and strengthened cooperation with new partners. 🔹 The world is moving towards multipolarity: BRICS and the Global South are playing an increasingly significant role. 🔹 Russia remains open to negotiations, but only on the basis of equality and respect for national interests. 🔹 Western double standards and the militarization of Europe threaten global stability. 🔗Full interview. #UkraineCrisis#BRICS#MultipolarWorld

🎙 Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’sinterview with Kommersant newspaper (Moscow, April 14, 2025) READ IN FULL #RussiaUSA • Restoring our dialogue with President of the United States Donald Trump is a natural step. Importantly, both Sides are willing to move in this direction despite the many challenges and the divergence of our national interests on several, if not most of the international matters. We need to hold meetings and treat each other as well-educated and polite people by listening and hearing each other. • The sincere desire to transition to normality shown by President Donald Trump is met with resistance after recent political upheavals that have rocked the Washington-based elites. They are preparing some moves behind the scenes, using their lobbies and the media. Their aim is to prevent President Donald Trump from mending relations with Russia and putting them back on track as they should be between two great powers and between all countries, for that matter. #NATO#Ukraine • International humanitarian law explicitly prohibits placement of military facilities and weapons in or around civilian sites. • Since the onset of the [Ukrainian] crisis, there have been countless instances of artillery and air defence systems deployed in [Ukrainian] city quarters next to kindergartens. The internet was full of videos showing Ukrainian women yelling at the military telling them to leave retail outlets and playgrounds, but they keep doing so to this day. • We have verified information about who was inside the building that was struck in Sumy. It was yet another gathering of Ukrainian military commanders alongside their Western counterparts operating under the guise of mercenaries, or someone else. • NATO military personnel are there and are directly in charge of the operations. Everyone is aware of that. Even The New York Times has reported that U.S. military staff have played a central role in orchestrating attacks on Russia from the outset. Without their involvement, the vast majority of long-range missile strikes would never have happened. • President Donald Trump has repeatedly stated that the decision by the Joe Biden administration to drag Ukraine into NATO was a major mistake. Among other things, it served as a trigger, or one of the triggers, in terms of what is happening today in Ukraine. President Trump has recognised in public several times that he viewed this as one of the root causes. #UkraineCrisis • Speaking at the Russia's Foreign Ministry on June 14, 2024, President Vladimir Putin laid out a clear framework for a lasting, reliable and just settlement [of the Ukraine crisis] which would primarily focus on fulfilling the interests of the people and ensuring that human rights are respected <...> as per the UN Charter. • For us the future of the people is what matters most, and saying the territorial integrity of Ukraine cannot be violated means letting Russians, the Russian-speaking people who escaped from the Nazi regime end up at the mercy of these beasts. • All peacekeeping “arrangements” painted by “macrons” and “starmers” seek to preserve at least a small piece of land as home to the blatantly Nazi and Russophobic regime designed to be used for preparing another war against Russia. This poses a major challenge for the West’s reputation and credibility.

@RusEmbMalta: 💬🇷🇺 Комментарий Посла России на Мальте А.Г.Лопухова на статью П.Леонарда (Times of Malta, 8 ноября 2025 г.) @RusEmbMalta Press Release 🇷🇺Interview of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with Turkish Media 📍Moscow, 29 January 2026 On 29 January 2026, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov gave an interview to Turkish media, outlining Russia’s principled assessment of the situation around Ukraine, the role of the West, and the prospects for a sustainable security architecture. 🔹 Key points 🧭 Ukraine and the West Russia views the Ukrainian conflict as part of a broader confrontation with the West. Ukraine has been turned into a pawn – a tool used to build a military bulwark along Russia’s borders, creating direct threats to Russian security. 📜Breach of Ukraine’s founding principles Ukraine’s Declaration of Independence explicitly enshrined non-alignment, neutrality and renunciation of nuclear weapons. It was precisely these principles that formed the basis on which Russia – along with most countries worldwide – recognised Ukraine after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. 🔹A conflict prepared in advance The crisis in Ukraine was not spontaneous. It was carefully prepared and financed, including by the United States. As former US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland has acknowledged, around USD 5 billion was spent to engineer a coup and transform Ukraine into an “anti-Russia” project. ⚠️ A tragic repetition of history The Zelensky regime represents a grim repetition of history — not a farce, but a tragedy, given the immense human toll. Many lives have been sacrificed by the regime and its Western patrons. ⛔Ceasefire proposals Russia considers unacceptable the repeated calls by Zelensky for a ceasefire of 60 days or longer. Past experience shows that such pauses were consistently exploited to rearm Ukraine, mobilise new recruits by force, regroup troops and prolong the conflict. 🕊️Missed opportunity in Istanbul (April 2022) Concrete and honest security guarantees were formulated during negotiations in Istanbul, hosted by Türkiye. These included the absence of foreign military bases on Ukrainian territory and restrictions on military exercises involving external forces. Everything was agreed in detail – but the process was blocked after external political interference. 📄So-called “peace plans” Russia has not seen the “20-point plan” repeatedly referenced by Zelensky. As understood, it has since been reworked by Ukraine and certain European states and is now being promoted as an alternative “vision” of peace. 🌍Multipolar world Russia does not oppose states that firmly defend their national interests. On the contrary, a truly multipolar world can only emerge through self-respecting states guided by common sense — states that defend their own interests while respecting those of others. 🔗 Full text of the interview: 👉here. #RussiaTürkiye #SergeyLavrov #UkraineCrisis

🎙Commentary by Aide to the President of Russia YuryUshakov following a telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin and President of the United States Donald Trump (October 16, 2025) 💬Yury Ushakov: Today in the afternoon, Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation, the eighth one, with US President Donald Trump. The conversation lasted almost two and a half hours. Clearly, it was a rather substantive and at the same time very open and frank exchange. Our President started out by congratulating Donald Trump on his successful efforts to normalise the situation in the #GazaStrip. The US President’s peace work has been duly appreciated in the #MiddleEast, in the United States itself, and in most countries around the world. Naturally, the Russian Side outlined its principled position in favour of a comprehensive Middle East settlement on a generally recognised international legal basis that would ensure lasting peace for all the peoples in that region. A special emphasis during the conversation was placed on the #UkraineCrisis. ❗️ Vladimir Putin provided a detailed assessment of the current situation, stressing Russia’s interest in achieving a peaceful resolution through political and diplomatic methods. In particular, it was noted that during the special military operation, the Russian Armed Forces hold full strategic initiative along the entire line of contact. Under these circumstances, the Kiev regime resorts to terrorist methods, attacking civilian targets and energy infrastructure facilities, to which we are forced to respond accordingly. *** Donald Trump repeatedly emphasised the imperative of establishing peace in Ukraine at the earliest opportunity. The notion that the Russian-Ukrainian conflict has proven the most intractable issue in all peacekeeping efforts of the US President was palpably evident throughout his remarks during the conversation. In this context, he naturally mentioned his successes in settling eight other regional conflicts. It is noteworthy that one of the US President’s key arguments centred on the premise that the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine would open up tremendous — and he stressed this — tremendous prospects for the development of US-Russian economic cooperation. Incidentally, both Sides spoke of the profound mutual affinity between the peoples of the two countries, which was so vividly demonstrated during #WWII. It was underscored that the current state of bilateral relations appears paradoxical against this backdrop. The issue of potential supplies of long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine was also raised. Vladimir Putin reiterated his position that Tomahawks would not change the situation on the battlefield but would inflict substantial damage to relations between our countries, to say nothing of the prospects for a peaceful settlement. In this context, it is worthy of note that the Presidents discussed the possibility of holding another personal meeting. This is indeed a very significant development. It was agreed that representatives of both countries would immediately begin preparations for the Summit, which could potentially be organised in Budapest, for instance. On a separate note, it should be mentioned that our President highly praised personal efforts of the First Lady of the United States Melania Trump in reuniting Russian and Ukrainian children with their families and asked the US President to convey his very best wishes to his spouse. Overall, I would say that the telephone contact between the Presidents of Russia and the United States was quite useful, and the two Leaders agreed to maintain contact. 🇷🇺🇺🇸#RussiaUS

@RusEmbMalta: 🇷🇺 Comment by the Russian Ambassador to Malta, Andrey Lopukhov on the article by Edward Zammit Lewis, Chairperson of the Foreign and European Affairs Parliamentary Standing Committee, Malta, published in Times of Malta. Key points: 🔹 Any “tribunals” or “funds” without UN Security Council mandate are legally null and void. 🔹 Malta’s neutrality cannot mean one-sided support for Ukraine alone. 🔹 Root causes of the crisis: Kiev’s refusal to implement the Minsk agreements, discrimination of Russian speakers, and NATO’s expansionist course. 🔹 Ignoring Kiev’s violations is not neutrality, but bias. 🔹 Confiscation of Russian assets in Europe = violation of the principle of property inviolability. 🔹 History shows: pressure and force against Russia have never worked. 👉 Full text: read #RussiaMalta#RussiaEU#UkraineCrisis#InternationalLaw
