On 22 April, the Russian House in Brussels hosted a sold-out concert, “Music of the Bolshoi: ballet, opera, romances,” featuring Honoured Artist of Russia Oleg Vainshtein. The programme included works by Pyotr Tchaikovsky — excerpts from The Sleeping Beauty in M. Pletnev’s arrangement and a paraphrase on themes from the opera Eugene Onegin by P. Pabst — as well as transcriptions of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s romances (E. Wild). These well-known masterpieces were presented in a brilliant and virtuosic piano interpretation. The performance took place before a full house, was met with great enthusiasm, and concluded with prolonged standing ovations. The event once again highlighted the Russian House in Brussels as an important platform for cultural dialogue. We are pleased to invite you to our next concert on 28 April at the Russian House in Brussels. We look forward to welcoming you.
