There’s no such thing as giving someone a ‘second chance’ when they come back. They must earn a second chance. They need to show you that they won’t repeat the same mistakes, they should gain your trust again, and if they hurt you one more time — then you must let them go. Do not give someone a second chance as though your heart is something that you carry on your sleeve, valuable enough only to hand out for free to anyone who asks for it, let them earn a second chance, only then will they be able to see just what your heart is worth.
