"Echoes of the Unseen" In a world where every person is born with an invisible companion spirit that only they can communicate with, write a short story or poem from the perspective of either the person or the spirit. How you can write? After her parents left the room, Kira whispered fervently, "Icarus, are you there?" A gentle hum filled the room as her unseen guide responded, "Never far, Kira. What guidance do you seek today?" Companions from birth, they were born together, for better or for worse. Kira's parents would say she talked to herself; they did not know about Icarus. No one did. It was their secret, a silent friendship fostering wisdom and companionship in an otherwise lonely world. Icarus was unseen but felt in a thousand profound ways: a warming presence, a voice of reason, a ray of inspiration in the darkest times. In turn, Kira was his tether to the physical world, a world otherwise inaccessible to him. Their symbiotic relationship painted untold stories of mystical companionship—a bond transcending the earthly and the ethereal. Could spirits be lonely? Kira sometimes wondered. After all, Icarus had but one friend—her. How would you proceed writing on this(#prompt)? "Stars in a Bottle" Write a poetic narrative about a peculiar antique shop where the stars in the night sky are sold in curious glass bottles. Use vivid imagery and metaphors to capture the atmosphere and uniqueness. How you can write? In the embittered bygone alleys of Allegra town, hunched under the burden of time, there exists a shop of wondrous peculiarity. A shop that prides itself not in selling sundry or bauble, but in dealing with constellations, nebulae, and stardust, ensnared within exquisite glass bottles. "Star-charmer Antiques" it's labeled in whimsical font, the glass door bearing an etching of the cosmos, opened with a chime of quaint lullabies. Shelves, ancient and creaking, are studded with bottles, as myriad as the cosmos themselves. Each bottle, enclosed within, a shower of eternities, twinkling as if whispering cosmic tales. The tiniest one cradles Polaris, the North Star, flickering in stoic solitude. A spiral bottle, twisted like a galaxy, sparkles with the ethereal gloss of milky serenade. Another, flaunting the shape reminiscent of a supernova, ropes in constellations, their glory showcasing a dance of creation and collapse. Amidst this stellar symphony, ambles the old keeper, his eyes reflecting the mysteries of the universe. A simple wave of his gnarled hand, and the heavens sway, swirling within their glass menagerie. With each purchase, clients become part astronomer, part dreamer, as they take home a slice of the night sky. The antiques begin to mark homes far and wide, lighting up fireplaces, casting a dreamy glow over bedtime stories, and flickering hope in world-weary eyes. And so exists a harmony between the cosmos and the curious, between a star-spangled night and the enchanting shop, offering not antiquated wares, but bottled dreams laced with stardust and infinity. "Message in a Bottle" Imagine you are walking along a deserted beach and find an ancient bottle with a message inside. Write a story or poem about the contents of the message and its impact on your life. How you can write? As I sauntered along the windswept beach, an unusual glint in the sand caught my eye—a bottle, rather ancient in appearance, sealed with a weathered cork. Intrigued, I eagerly unveiled the contents: a message, ink faded but words clear, penned by an anonymous seafarer lost in time. The letter spoke of love and loss, rediscovery, and the perpetuity of hope, resonating with my heart's deepest echoes. This serendipitous encounter transformed my perspective, the words of a stranger showing me the resilience of the human spirit amidst life's storms. How would you proceed writing on this(#prompt)? "Through the Eyes of an Object" Write a fictional narrative or poem from the perspective of an everyday object in your kitchen. How does this object perceive the world around it? How does it feel about its function? How you can write? I sit here, a humble toaster, countertop king in chrome and silver. My days are filled with the husky scent of bread warming, the sizzle of butter as it cuts through the morning coolness. I watch the family gather around, each reaching for me, but not for me. They seek what I can give, the perfectly browned slices, crisp yet soft in the middle. But what of me? I, who gift them with this daily comfort. Time and again, I am ignored, used, oft brushed aside. Yet, in this quiet domestic symphony, I find a strange sense of satisfaction. I am more than just a tool, more than a metal shell. I see lives woven around me, stories being etched out every day. Through the crumbs I collect and the bread I heat, I connect, I nourish, I link today to tomorrow. In every golden slice, I gift them a piece of the morning sun, warming their hands and their stomachs. Every ding of completion, my voice letting them know I've done well. To them, I may be just a toaster but to me, I am a piece of the family. I watch, I participate, and I provide. And so, I carry on, the unnoticed hero of breakfast, burning bright, one toast at a time. How would you proceed writing on this(#prompt)? "Forgotten Artifact" Imagine coming across an ancient, unfamiliar artifact while cleaning your attic. Write a short story about the strange object and the journey it takes you on. How you can write? In the dusty solitude of my old attic, hidden under a pile of jumbled heirlooms, I stumbled upon a small, polished box with engravings unfamiliar to my eyes. On unsheathing it, I discovered a perplexing artifact, a golden compass glistening in the shafts of light penetrating the attic windows. Unlike the navigational tools I knew, this compass had additional cardinal points, each etched with runic symbols that spoke of ancient languages. Intrigued, I found myself engrossed in research on this artifact which seemed to belong to an age and civilization long forgotten. One by one, I deciphered the runic symbols on the compass, and with each translation, I was induced into a mystical journey through forgotten epochs and lands. In the dimly lit comfort of my attic, my mind roamed through terrain unknown and witnessed cultures, traditions, and rituals of primordial times. Elephant chariots, azure pyramids, floating palaces, and unseen stars in alien skies—I traveled through époques in time, yet not in space. Suddenly my humble attic was no longer just a storage space; it became my command central from where I explored fascinating civilizations I never knew existed. "The Forgotten Diary" Imagine you've discovered an old, dusty diary in the attic of your newly purchased antique house. Write a story based on one of the diary entries which holds a profound secret about the house. How you can write? When I shifted into the charming, age-old Victorian-style house, a sense of deep-rooted history pervaded the atmosphere. While exploring the vast expanse of the attic, a hardbound, dust-laden diary, stuck with many memories of a by-past era, named Harold caught my attention. On one of the brittle yellow pages was written "August 12, 1898: The sculpture in the garden, when twisted in a clockwise direction beneath the full moon, revealed a stairway underground". The entry intrigued me. Sure enough, with the approaching full moon night, I twisted the shabby sculpture, standing unseen at a corner of my garden. To my surprise, the earth beneath it grumbled, and as the diary quoted, a stairway appeared. I walked down hesitantly, into the darkness - a feeling of a forgotten era unfolding. The world that met my eyes held a profound secret of the house - the underground was a hide-out from the civil war, with relics and histories whispered in silence. No one, in all these years, had discovered this, until my curiosity guided by Harold's diary, led me to it. Harold had not just left behind a diary but had chronicled a mystery of history, tying my life with a secret of the past and making me part of the unseen chapters of a bygone era.
