📰 NEWS | Venezuela: US Grants 60-Day Chevron Extension; Direct Talks Lead to US Soldier Release The Trump administration granted Chevron a two-month extension to continue operations in Venezuela. The decision followed March’s revocation of General License 41. OFAC has not yet issued the updated license. The move came after US envoy Richard Grenell held negotiations with Maduro government officials in Antigua. Talks resulted in the release of US Air Force veteran Joseph St. Clair, who had been detained since November 2024.
