FM Yván Gil said Caracas is dismantling a CIA-financed cell linked to the plan and urged Trinidad to take responsibility. Meanwhile, Washington has sent the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier strike group to the Caribbean, expanding its naval buildup near Venezuelan waters.
