Rodríguez outlined plans for a “long-term productive alliance” focused on oil, natural gas, electricity and mineral projects. Wright said the Trump administration has issued sanctions waivers for US companies to resume oil operations and export inputs to Venezuela. The new licenses require payments to US Treasury-designated accounts and prohibit transactions with firms from China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Russia.
