В Стамбуле все очень переменилось с тех пор, как я тут жила. Во времена, когда тут жила, я ни разу не объезжала Стамбул как турист. Были только районы Бешикташа, Istinye park, Таксим. Я помню, что мы прогуливались как-то с папой возле Айя София и тогда мы подошли к плите, которой было 3400 лет, на мое: «Это как?» он мне сказал: «Это целая вечность, цукерка». Сейчас мне кажется, что Стамбул так и можно описать. Это одна целая человеческая вечность, при всех метаморфозах. Everything has changed in Istanbul since I lived here. When I lived here, I never traveled around Istanbul completely, there were only areas of Besiktas, Istinye park, Taksim. I have never been here as a tourist. I remember that my dad and I were once walking near Hagia Sophia and then we came to a slab that was 3,400 years old, and I asked, “What’s that like?” he then told me, “Zuckerka, this is an eternity.” Now it seems to me that Istanbul can be described this way. This is one whole human eternity, with all its metamorphoses.
