News: #South_Sudan pushes #Egypt, Sudan to join Nile water sharing accord South Sudan has called on Egypt and #Sudan to join the Cooperative Framework Agreement (#CFA), a treaty aimed at ensuring equitable and sustainable use of the #Nile River waters. According to South Sudan-based outlet Sudan Post, South Sudan’s Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, James Mawich Makuach, made the appeal during celebrations marking Nile Day in Juba on Sunday. He urged Egypt, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the #Congo and #Kenya to become part of the accord, describing it as a pathway toward inclusive regional cooperation over the world’s longest river.
