Ещё две реинкарнации старых дизайнов для тех, кто находит обычный пиджак слишком ретро или нарядным вариантом: City Hunter от The Armoury и Easy Jacket от Bryceland's. О первом и сказать особо нечего: у Armoury получилась одна из миллионов интерпретаций охотничьей куртки Teba, только в очень «городской» трактовке. Зауженный силуэт, прямая кромка, рубашечные манжеты и наружный нагрудный карман с застёжкой на кнопку, который слегка вытянут под смартфон. И вроде хорошо, но как-то слишком повседневно, хочется драйва. К открытию лондонского магазина, Bryceland's заколлабились с командой Фредди Ниедду из Taillour для работы над Easy Jacket. Итоговый вариант соединил «полуофициальные детали пиджака» (3-roll-2, широкий лацкан и низкий раскеп) с «непринужденностью рубашки overshirt» — вдохновлялись shirt-jacket от Pendleton (в комментах добавим картинки). В готовом изделии чувствуется сдержанная беззаботность: крой придает драпировку, текучесть и элегантную эстетику, навевая мысли о поэтах-битниках и джазовых музыкантах 50-х годов. Носится свободно и не имеет особой структуры, кроме естественных линий плеча. Возможно сработала творческая химия ребят из Bryceland's с Taillour, но их вариант вышел куда приятнее. #construction

Исключение — жилетки, Skeet (охотничий), австро-баварский Trachten / Nehru-Mandarin-Kimono jackets. Однако это совсем про другое, во многом культурное, а не дизайнерское отличие. Если вам нравится подобный стиль, рекомендую обратить внимание на французского режиссера Рене Клера, который носил такой пиджак с шейным платком, рубашкой или просто на голое тело. В идеале быть рядом с венецианскими пляжами — вполне уместное место для подобных стилевых экспериментов. #construction

On how to build a raised bed (5) Today we protect our bed against rain. Thus we add metal angles twice on the inside, which also keeps the bubble foil tight to the boards. The boards on the top need to be a bit more resilient than the pine boards at the side, as they need to withstand rain. I use larch for this purpose, as it's more durable than pine. Screw the boards so the frame is protected. Now you can add some glaze in order to increase the water resistance. Congratulations! On how to build a raised bed (4) After the frame and the board protection is ready, we fill in soil. We will use this bed for potatoes, so we needn't so much. Potatoes will be covered with more soil later, when they grow out. Now we basically have a fully working vegetable bed, which you can fill with anything you want. On how to build a raised bed (3) We will attach all four layers of boards to the frames to build a rectangular bed. As I already stated, my wife wanted to lower beds. If you want one high raised bed, leave out the space in the center and assemble the boards next to each other. Next thing I did was sawing the complete frame in half in the middle, to get the two lower beds. Next we need to cut the bubble wrap to the correct needed height and place it next to the boards inside the bed. This is to protect the planks from molding too quickly. Then we take cardboard and place it right on top of the soil or grass where the bed shall be placed. We want to keep the underlying layers intact, as the microorganisms would get destroyed otherwise. When the cardboard rots, the natural soil will seamlessly go into your bed. Now place cut wood and leftover soil inside. The angles, the cut frame (1/4) and the boards should be assembled like pictured in order to get the construction right. While constructing, my wife asked me to built two lower beds instead of one high. You can decide now if you want to continue the construction of one high raised bed, or if you want to have two lower ones. On how to build a raised bed (1) In times of upcoming food shortages, we want to do our part to secure the existence of our tribe. Raised beds are a great and cheap way to do that! I will build one and share the information with you. For part one we will collect the materials on a list. On the images above you see various things. We will build a 2,5m x 1,30m x 0,6m raised bed. These materials you will need: - 12 boards of wood (upper right image) - 1 frame of wood (middle right image) - 32 metal construction angles - screws - thin grid - raised bed bubble wrap We will saw the frame into 4 pieces, those will become our corner posts.
