📉 Easy Yield in Crypto Is Drying Up The era of easy passive yield is fading. Large funds, smart whales, and a wave of liquidations in late 2024 have drained many of the obvious opportunities. Points farming worked well in 2024–2025 because most people avoided delayed or uncertain rewards. Now that trade is crowded as well. The remaining yield is more situational. It usually comes from short windows around liquidity events, temporary arbitrage during geopolitical shocks in metals or oil, niche markets with limited competition, RFV trades, or mispriced bets on prediction markets like Polymarket. The dynamic now looks similar to what happened in poker. As weaker players disappear, liquidity dries up and the share of smart money increases. The game becomes tougher and the edge smaller. Crypto still moves in cycles, so opportunities will appear again. New niches continue to form, perps markets occasionally break, and prediction markets still offer mispriced bets.
