150 years ago (09.10.1874) Russian artist, stage designer, philosopher, writer, traveler, archaeologist and public figure Nikolai Roerich was born. The list of roles of this outstanding personality is endless. 📃 In 1928, Nicholas Roerich drafted the Treaty for the Protection of Cultural Property - the Roerich Pact. The Pact was the first international act dedicated to the protection of cultural property, and the only agreement in this field that was adopted by the international community before the Second World War. 🇷🇺✨ An evening dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet Sergei Yesenin was held on October 3, 2025 at the Embassy of Russia in Singapore. Guests enjoyed an exhibition showcasing the poet’s life and creative legacy, as well as a display of paintings by contemporary Russian artists, organized with the support of the Russian-Asian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. A highlight of the evening was a concert prepared by compatriots and Singaporean friends under the direction of Darya Rotast.
