150 years ago (09.10.1874) Russian artist, stage designer, philosopher, writer, traveler, archaeologist and public figure Nikolai Roerich was born. The list of roles of this outstanding personality is endless. 📃 In 1928, Nicholas Roerich drafted the Treaty for the Protection of Cultural Property - the Roerich Pact. The Pact was the first international act dedicated to the protection of cultural property, and the only agreement in this field that was adopted by the international community before the Second World War. For it Roerich was twice nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. 🎨 Nicholas Roerich's paintings are kept in the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Oriental Art and private collections around the world. #russianculture

As many years ago, people from the Mainland are helping to explore the permafrost territory. They come to the Golden Coast of the Arctic to find solutions to non-trivial problems in harsh climatic and geological conditions - to achieve something that is difficult for the average person to imagine even in theory. 🔗Link for Andrey Porshnyak’s film about the enigmatic and mystical Chukotka. https://tvbrics.com/en/shows/documentary-film-the-golden-coast-of-the-arctic/ #russianculture#BRICS#RussiaSouthAfrica

🔴Not so long ago, we talked about the festival of Russian crafts in the Moscow region. We showed how it was held last year. This year it was even more interesting. There were masters of pottery and wood carving, weavers (with their own loom) and spinners, hand-to-hand combat "Buza" and musicians and many, many children! And nearby there was a pond for those who like to cool off and a lot of different non-alcoholic Old Russian drinks. #мирбезвойны #русскаякультура #worldwithoutwar #russianculture @StopHating_Russia and start to love!

👏🏻 Massive congratulations to Russian photographer Igor Metelskiy who has won #WildlifePhotographerOfTheYear Award in "Animals in Their Environment" category. 📷 The shot of a lynx stretching in the sunshine on a mountain top in Primorsky Territory, Russia, perfectly showcases the untamed beauty of the region. 🐾 After six months of waiting, scouting the perfect spot, facing harsh weather and tricky logistics, Metelskiy’s dedication has truly paid off, earning him #WPY award. #russianculture

🔴 I invite you for a walk in the best tourist Russian city. If you want to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of old provincial life, but not lose comfort and entertainment, then this city will definitely be interesting to you! A kind of reserve of what all Russian cities should look like. In this regard, Suzdal is simply beautiful. Even cafes and restaurants are decorated in the old style, and each has its own interior details that create a soulful atmosphere. And you can ride around the city in a real carriage. We wish you all good, Suzdal dreams! 📸: roman.kokorin #мирбезвойны #русскаякультура #worldwithoutwar #russianculture #goodnightall

🔴 Before the invention of the light bulb, villages used special chips as torches. They were called splinters - wooden chips for lighting the Russian hut. Candles were made of wax and were very expensive. And there have always been a lot of trees in Russia! Therefore, there was always something to make a splinter from. The splinter is inserted into a special device - a svetets, which is a holder made of wrought iron. Individual svetniki are a real work of art. Look at what interesting specimens are presented in these photos. When burning a splinter, it was necessary to put a trough with water for the coals falling from the splinter. We wish you all good, bright dreams! #мирбезвойны #русскаякультура #worldwithoutwar #russianculture #goodnightall @StopHating_Russia and start to love!

🔴 We like to do everything on a grand scale in Russia. Especially in Siberia! Even reenactors spend their festivals on a large scale in terms of reconstruction time... The Siberian Fire festival was held in Novosibirsk on June 14. This is not just a show, but a real immersion in history: an entire open-air military historical park that covers almost 2,000 years of history for one day, from antiquity to the 20th century. To be continued in comments... #русскаякультура #мирбезвойны #worldwithoutwar #russianculture #goodnightall @StopHating_Russia and start to love! We wish you all good, bright, Siberian dreams!

Easter Traditions in Old Russia For centuries, Easter has been the principal Orthodox celebration — a symbol of the triumph of life over death and the victory of light. The celebration began with a night service, followed by a solemn procession. The greeting “Christ is Risen!” was heard everywhere, with the response: “Christ has risen indeed. Hallelujah!” Festive foods held special meaning: sweet Easter bread, a traditional cottage cheese dessert, and decorated eggs — all symbolizing joy, purity, and new life. The blessing of food in church was an essential tradition, and after the Great Lent, the festive meal became especially meaningful. Easter also marked the beginning of joyful gatherings: visiting loved ones, exchanging eggs, and traditional games symbolizing renewal and the continuity of life. Easter brings together families and generations, reminding us of the enduring values of faith, hope, and love. ⸻ #Easter#OrthodoxEaster#Traditions#RussianCulture#FaithHopeLove
