Space Week at the Russian House in Brussels The Russian House in Brussels hosted a series of events dedicated to space exploration and the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight — a milestone of great significance for world history and international scientific cooperation. A key highlight of the programme was the unveiling of the monument to Yuri Gagarin, symbolizing the beginning of the space era and the unifying power of humanity’s achievements. As part of the week, a ceremonial event with the participation of heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of embassies was held, reaffirming the role of the Russian House as a platform for cultural and humanitarian dialogue. A special place in the programme was given to the meeting with Andrey Borisenko, pilot-cosmonaut and Hero of the Russian Federation. Guests had a unique opportunity to learn about real space missions, ask questions, and discuss the future of space exploration. The educational programme included Days of Documentary Cinema, featuring films about humanity’s journey to the stars and the legacy of Yuri Gagarin, as well as educational initiatives such as the “Star Dictation” and participation in the international campaign Total Dictation. Particular attention was given to young audiences: creative workshops for children were organized, including space-themed art activities, assembling a model of the Vostok spacecraft, and decorative crafting sessions. The Space Week once again demonstrated the unifying power of science, culture, and education, contributing to the strengthening of humanitarian ties and the development of international dialogue. #RussianHouseBrussels#SpaceWeek#Gagarin#Borisenko#CulturalDialogue#Brussels
