В Linux стандартными средствами можно использовать часть оперативной памяти как диск. Для этого требуется указать тип монтирования tmpfs в команде mount
mount -t tmpfs -o size=5G tmpfs /mnt/ram
Теперь путь /mnt/ram можно использовать как обычный каталог. Для чего это может быть нужно?
▫️ Скорость работы с таким каталогом выше чем многие SSD и тем более HDD.
▫️ Если у вас очень быстрый SSD на NVMe M.2 то такой способ особо не прибавит вам скорости, но поможет сохранить ресурс SSD когда требуется обрабатывать очень много мелких файлов и оперативка позволяет выделить нужный объем.
▫️ Оперативка это энергозависимая память, поэтому выключении питания все файлы безвозвратно теряются. Такой "non persistent" каталог гарантирует удаление временных файлов.
Я написал небольшой скрипт для условного теста и сравнения скорости копирования файлов между SSD и RAM.
Вот мои результаты:

Black AMG brake calipers with white AMG logos further highlight the vehicle's special status.

📸 The SL 63 receives a host of special touches, including Kalahari Gold Magno paintwork. Just 100 units of the special edition will be produced.
The special edition SL 63 also receives several packages as standard. This includes the AMG Night Package Exterior, AMG Night Package Exterior II, and AMG Aerodynamic Package. Essentially, this deletes any brightwork and replaces it with high-gloss black exterior details, seen here on the front splitter, side mirror caps, windscreen surround, and the side sill and rear skirt inlays.
The Golden Coast edition doesn't receive any performance updates. But that's no bad thing: the turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 develops a healthy 577 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, which propels it to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. It's odd that Mercedes didn't choose to base this special edition on the 805-hp SL 63 S E Performance.
Mercedes has not shared pricing, but seeing as the standard model has a starting price of $187,000, we expect this limited edition to be more than $200,000.

🆕 Aston Martin Vantage's soft top folds down in just 6.8 seconds. It is not only fast, but also light: the roadster is heavier than the coupe only by 60 kilograms.

🚘One of the last W12-powered Bentley's has been unveiled – the Batur roadster
The coupe was revealed back in 2022, and the new roadster will be one of the last models of the British brand with a six-liter W12. A total of 16 cars will be assembled.

Saoutchik has revealed the 300GTC roadster. It is stylized under the classic Mercedes-Benz 300 SL of 1957, for the appearance of the car is responsible atelier Ugur Sahin Design.
In total, 15 copies are planned to be produced. The cost and technical specifications are still kept secret.
Saoutchik company was created in 1906 by Yakov Savchik, who was born in the Belarusian city of Dzerzhinsk. Now the Saoutchik BV brand is registered in the Netherlands.

🚘 Skytop with "the most powerful V8 engine ever" unveiled
The latest BMW Skytop has made its debut at the Villa d'Este 2024 classic car show on the shores of Lake Como.
The two-seater car has a rigid roof that can be removed manually and the rear window can be raised and lowered with a button. "Chrome shadow effect" is designed specifically for the Skytop.
According to the manufacturer, the car has been given the "most powerful V8 engine", which is supposedly the same 4.4-litre 625bhp engine used in the M8 Competition.
In creating the Skytop, BMW decided to pay homage to the brand's classic models such as the Z8 and 503. Although the car is only a concept car at the moment, BMW has not ruled out the possibility of a limited production run.
