Ранее я уже упоминал о другой фишке из ˍˍfutureˍˍ , это оператор деления.
from __future__ import division
Суть проста. Раньше сложность типа данных результата поределялась типом самого сложного операнда.
Например:
int/int => int
int/float => float
В первом случае оба операнда int, значит и результат будет int. Во втором float более сложный тип, поэтому результат будет float.
Если нам требуется получить дробное значение при делении двух int то приходилось форсированно один из операндов конверировать в float.
12/float(5) => float
Но с новой "философией" это не требуется. В Python3 "floor division" заменили на "true division" а старый способ теперь работает через оператор "//".
>>> 3/2
1.5
>>> 3//2
1
То есть теперь деление int на int даёт float если результат не целое число.
В классах теперь доступны методы __floordiv__() и __truediv__() для определения поведения с этими операторами.

El All England Club seguirá el ejemplo del Abierto de Australia el US Open y sustituirá los jueces de línea por tecnología. Desde 2007, el ojo de halcón ha ayudado a los jueces de Wimbledon en algunas pistas, donde los jugadores han podido impugnar las decisiones de los jueces de línea, pero ahora el sistema estará totalmente automatizado en todo el recinto, incluso durante la fase de clasificación en Roehampton.
La directora ejecutiva, Sally Bolton, declaró que la decisión de introducir el sistema Live Electronic Line Calling en los Campeonatos "se tomó tras un largo periodo de estudio y consulta", y "una vez revisados los resultados de las pruebas realizadas este año en el torneo".
"Consideramos que la tecnología es lo suficientemente sólida y que ha llegado el momento de dar este importante paso en la búsqueda de la máxima precisión en nuestro arbitraje. A los jugadores, les ofrecerá las mismas condiciones en las que han jugado en otros eventos del circuito", defendió.
