Вот вам ещё один наглядный пример как это используется в Python в модуле re.
Чтобы указать флаг для компилятора нам надо указать его после передаваемой строки. Например, добавляем флаг для игнорирования переноса строки.
pattern = re.compile(r"(\w+)+")
words = pattern.search(text, re.DOTALL)
А как указать несколько флагов? Ведь явно будут ситуации когда нам потребуется больше одного. Кто читал посты по битовые операторы уже понял как.
pattern.search(text, re.DOTALL | re.VERBOSE)
А теперь смотрим исходники, что находится в этих атрибутах?
Не удивительно, степени двойки. Почему? Потому что каждое следующее значение это сдвиг единицы влево.

ℹ️ The focus is on key roads, beach access routes, and popular shortcuts. Authorities aim to redistribute traffic flows to reduce congestion and make movement more balanced.
The LLAJ forum — a local traffic council — will be involved in developing the new system. Testing is planned before implementation, so no exact timeline has been announced yet.
The updated scheme will include not only main roads but also widely used shortcuts.
📍 A similar model has already been tested and implemented in Kerobokan and Seminyak. No timeline for Canggu yet – calculations and a trial phase will come first.

📰 A sea route from the airport to c will appear in Bali. The new dock between Canggu and Chemagi is scheduled to begin operating in 2026, but the first water taxis are planned to be launched in test mode as early as the end of 2025.
