*Infodemic Management Training, 28 Nov – 1 Dec 2022* Participants of the training conducted by WHO in Putrajaya, Malaysia gained valuable and useful knowledge on Infodemic Management (IM). The workshop started off with an introduction to infodemic and the new information ecosystem. Infodemic is the overabundance of information in the digital and physical space, including mis- and disinformation associated with acute health events such as outbreaks. The infodemic timeline consists of five (5) phases - prepare, monitor, detect, intervene and strengthen. Participants learned about the activities during these phases such as multisource data collection, social media listening as well as fact checking tools and techniques. To address information voids, it is important to deliver high quality health information. Application of behavioural science and community participation are also needed to mitigate the risks caused by mis- and disinformation. Overall, tackling the infodemic requires a multidisciplinary approach and integrated analysis to generate insights for management with the use of evidence and data. The training was engaging with a lot of fruitful discussions and interaction between the participants and facilitators.
