🌊 New Publication Alert! 🐟 Thrilled to share our latest study on fish growth and health in the Chirchik River, a key tributary of the Syr Darya in Central Asia. 📌 We assessed length–weight relationships (LWR) and condition factors (Kn and K) of five freshwater fish species—2 native, 3 invasive—from upper and middle reaches of the river. ✅ Positive and isometric growth patterns suggest healthy habitats. 📈 Relative condition (Kn) showed stable physiological status. ⚖️ But Fulton’s condition factor (K) revealed interspecies differences in energy use and body form. 📚 This research offers crucial baseline data for conservation and monitoring in human-impacted Central Asian rivers and highlights the power of biometric tools to evaluate freshwater ecosystem health.
