The Russian government is creating "electronic passports" for athletes. An order on the "digital transformation of sports", dated February 8, 2024, states: "The project also involves the introduction of electronic passports for athletes. The formation of such digital documents will make the selection of talented youth more effective and increase the effectiveness of sports training. This work should be completed by 2027."
