👆Putin has officially signed off on the creation of a "digital [domestic] passport". Who needs a boring and inconvenient paper ID when you can store your passport on your DumbPhone? Safe and convenient.

Путин утвердил "цифровой паспорт" Президент Владимир Путин утвердил "цифровой паспорт". Подписанный Путиным указ определяет случаи и порядок использования цифрового удостоверения личности вместо бумажного. Документ опубликован на официальном портале правовой информации. Напомним, в феврале 2023 г. президент поддержал и призвал ускорить внедрение цифрового удостоверения личности вместо традиционного паспорта. Предъявлять такое удостоверение можно будет со смартфона. Однако россияне не так благосклонно настроены к этому новшеству. Согласно опросу портала SuperJob, иметь цифровой паспорт хотели бы только 27% россиян, притом что 58% против. Между мужчинами и женщинами разницы почти нет, а вот по возрасту различия заметны. Если среди людей до 35 лет на цифровой паспорт согласны 37% (против - 44%), то старше 45 лет - только 22%, а 64% против этого.
