📰 Ubuntu Snap Prompting Improvements
If you haven’t tried Ubuntu’s ‘Permission Prompting’ feature for a while, there’s more reason to do so in the latest release. Canonical’s Oliver Calder has shared an update on recent improvements to the security feature, which sets out to “empower users” by letting them decide what software can access on the rest of the system at runtime rather than retrospectively.

IRAS Commissioner Ow Fook Chuen delivered the opening address at the 'International Tax Disputes Day: The Asian and Global Landscape' conference yesterday, jointly organised by Tax Academy of Singapore and the University of Lausanne.
In an era of increasing complexity and cross-border uncertainty, Commissioner Ow articulated Singapore's steadfast commitment to tax certainty as a cornerstone of sustainable growth. He shared IRAS' approach towards preventing and resolving tax disputes, which is exemplified through our adoption of the internationally agreed standard for Mutual Agreement Procedure (MAP) and our extensive network of Avoidance of Double Tax Agreements (DTAs). Domestically, IRAS also established a strong partnership with tax practitioners and the business community and implemented robust initiatives like the Enhanced Taxpayer Relationship (ETR) programme for larger businesses.

Они полагают, что пандемия COVID-19 разразилась в мире, испытывающем период серьезного разделения, вызванного как серьезной геополитической напряженностью, так и растущей разочарованностью в глобализации. Многосторонние механизмы международного сотрудничества находятся под давлением, в то самое время, когда пандемия и падение экономики требуют усиления партнерства. При этом результаты пандемии должны стать, по мнению авторов документа, катализаторов изменения курса: от конкуренции к сотрудничеству.
Это движение вперед должно основываться на следующих принципах:
1. Усиление глобального сотрудничества;
2. Укрепление мира и безопасности;
3. Справедливая реглобализация;
4. Продвижение гендерного равенства;
5. Устойчивое восстановление;
6. Углубление государственно-частного партнерства;
7. Повышение глобальной устойчивости.
