🇷🇺🇰🇿On November 11, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Russia on a two-day state visit. Presidents of Russia and Kazakhstan met in the Kremlin. 💬Vladimir Putin: First of all, I would like to thank you for finding the time to come, as we agreed, on this visit. I am sincerely pleased. Of course, we are in constant contact, but such protocol occasions also matter in inter-state relations. Today we will have an opportunity to meet in an informal setting and discuss all the issues of mutual interest. Tomorrow, together with our colleagues, we will review the entire agenda of our bilateral relations and, of course, discuss future prospects. I believe we will finish this year on a strong note and set out our plans for the near and medium term. I am very pleased to see you. #RussiaKazakhstan

🎙Statement and answers to media questions by Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov following his visit to the People’s Republic of China (Beijing, April 15, 2026) Key points: • Russia and China are interested in ensuring that the West’s overt attemptsto preserve and, in some cases, even “renew” its hegemony fail. These efforts are rooted in the assumption that the West’s five-hundred-year experience of conquering the world, subordinating it to its own interests and shaping mechanisms of global governance that allow it to live at others’ expense can somehow be sustained. • We devoted particular attention to Eurasia, where new centres of tension are continuing to emerge. In Europe, this is reflected in NATO’s attempts to find a new reason for its existence, above all by drawing Ukraine into its ranks. It is also evident in the militarisation of the EU, which we are witnessing against the backdrop of crises within NATO caused by disagreements between Washington and the European capitals, above all – the Brussels bureaucracy. • Our entire Eurasian continent, in one way or another, has become an arena for serious and competing trendsand practical actions by leading members of the international community. It is the largest and wealthiest continent, with resources that are essentially inexhaustible. That is why both the geopolitical and geoeconomic dimensions are of particular importance here. • I agree with the description of #RussiaChina relations as “unshakable in the face of any storm”. This is not merely a slogan, but a statement of fact already borne out by a whole range of developments in which Russia and China are playing a stabilising role in support of those trends – enshrined in the UN Charter – that are now striving to prevail in international affairs. • Russia can help offset the supply deficit now faced by both China and other countries interested in working with us on an equal and mutually beneficial basis. 👉 We have said this on a number of occasions. It is no coincidence that, now that the crisis in the Middle East has erupted, EU officials are already publicly calling on the European Commission to “show mercy” toward the national sovereignty of EU member states and postpone plans to shut off the “valve” completely. • Europe is startingto realise that, if it gets off what it calls the Russian “oil and gas needle”, it may well end up impaled on the “energy stake” of another great power – one already being carefully sharpened for Europe. It is a pivotal moment. • One must always look at the root causes. Would Iran have taken any steps to close the Strait of Hormuz or strike US facilities on the Arabian Peninsula had it not been for the aggression of Washington and Israel against the Islamic Republic? Everyone understands that this would not have happened. • In Kosovo, the West demonstrated that the law simply does not apply to it–only the part which happens to suit it at a given moment. At that time, what suited the West was the provision of the UN Charter stating that nations are equal and that every nation has the right to self-determination. But when the question is raised about the right of the people of Crimea and Novorossiya to self-determination, the West ducks the issue. • Unlike the EU, we are interested in seeing unifying infrastructure take shape in the Balkans in every sense – economic as well as cultural. The same goal – to unite and maximise benefits for all – is pursued by China’s Belt and Road Initiative, which is also highly popular in the Balkans and being actively advanced there. • I hope that the US will not return to the era of outright colonial wars and the suppression of free peoples. It was not Cuba that refused dialogue with Washington for decades. • I would advise the US, in every case where it dislikes a particular government, to begin by engaging it in dialogue. Not a single country, including Venezuela, has ever refused dialogue with the US. It was the US, however, that first made agreements and then walked away from them. Read in full

🎙Opening remarks by Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov during talks with Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi (April 14, 2026, Beijing) 💬 This is our first in-person meeting this year, although we have already had several telephone conversations. They are always substantive and detailed. I have no doubt that we will have many more opportunities to speak again this year and thus prepare additional decisions ahead of new contacts between our Leaders. These contacts are already scheduled. Today, we will discuss this in detail. I fully agree that the foundations of international relations are now being put through the most serious trials. One need only look at what happened at the beginning of the year in Latin America, in Venezuela, and at what is happening now in the Middle East. The Ukrainian crisis, which the West sought to manufacture artificially in order, as it claimed, to inflict a “strategic defeat” on Russia, is now being used, above all by the Europeans, to begin hatching plans for the creation of a new aggressive bloc in the west of the Eurasian continent, involving the Kiev regime, with the obvious aim of directing this new formation against our country. In the eastern part of the Eurasian continent, dangerous games are also continuing – both over Taiwan and in the South China Sea, while tensions are being fuelled on the Korean Peninsula. The same applies to the space which for many years was a place of cooperation and good-neighbourliness – the so-called ASEAN-centred space. Attempts are being made to dismantle it by creating small-group and bloc-based structures with the aim of containing both China and Russia, which also border this most important region and form part of Eurasia. Our vast continent as a whole requires constant attention. I am confident that today we will be able to discuss in practical terms our concrete steps both in line with the initiatives put forward by the President of China on global security and in other areas, and in line with President Vladimir Putin’s initiative to build a pan-continental Eurasian security architecture. I believe our meeting is very timely. Thank you for the invitation. I am focused on concrete and productive work. 🇷🇺🇨🇳#RussiaChina

🇷🇺🇨🇳On April 8, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimovheld consultations in Beijing with Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Cai Wei on Russia-China bilateral cooperation at the UnitedNations. The Sides conducted a detailed review of a broad range of issues on the agenda of the UN Security Council and the General Assembly, including: • reform of the UN Security Council, • the Secretary-General’s UN80 Initiative, • the election of non-permanent members of the Security Council and of the President of the 81st session of the General Assembly, • coordination within the Group of Friends in Defence of the UN Charter, • aligning efforts with the Group of Friends of Global Governance, • a number of regional issues, with an emphasis on finding political and diplomatic solutions to the situation around Iran and on cooperation between our two countries on this track in the UN Security Council. The Sides also paid particular attention to the upcoming election of the UN Secretary-General. 🇷🇺🇨🇳📞 On March 1, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi held a telephone conversation. The Ministers condemned the large-scale military strikes launched by the United States and Israel against Iranian territory, an operation carried out despite Tehran’s stated openness to dialogue. They stressed that such acts of aggression represent a grave violation of international law and the fundamental principles of the UN Charter, destabilising the situation across the entire region. Particular emphasis was placed on the fact that it is unacceptable to pursue policies aimed at overthrowing the legitimately elected authorities of sovereign states. Sergey Lavrov and Wang Yi called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and underscored the urgent need for a political and diplomatic resolution to all issues related to the Iranian case, including ensuring the legitimate security interests of all the Gulf states. The Ministers highlighted the unity of Moscow’s and Beijing’s positions during the emergency UN Security Council meeting convened the previous day at the initiative of Russia and China. They expressed their readiness to continue working together to help stabilise the situation, by coordinating their efforts within the UN Security Council, the IAEA, the SCO, and the Group of Friends in Defence of the Charter of the United Nations. The Parties agreed to maintain close contact on all pressing international issues. #RussiaChina

Our statistics are slightly lower, but this is not important. We have reached such a high level in the past five years. <...> You have established cordial and business-like relations with Mr Mishustin, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation. We hope that your close and truly professional working relationship will continue. 🤝 In practice, the mechanism of regular meetings between Russian and Chinese heads of government has proven to be effective. 🇷🇺🇨🇳 Russia's President Vladimir Putin and President of the PRC Xi Jinpingmade a speech at the gala concert devoted to the 75th anniversary of Russia-China diplomatic relations and the opening of Russia and China’s years of culture. 💬Vladimir Putin: Seventy five years is a short period of time by the yardstick of centuries-long history of Russia and China, but during this period we managed to achieve serious results, amass the priceless experience of close, goodneighbourly interaction that embraced joint successes and achievements as well as important historical lessons. The main thing has always remained unchanged − the traditions of Russian-Chinese friendship, which has stood the test of time and continues to strengthen for the benefit of the peoples of our two countries. ❗️ We can be justly proud of the fact that Russian-Chinese relations have now reached the highest level in history and have acquired the character of genuine comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction. <...> Symbolically, such a large-scale joint project as the years of culture of Russia and China has been timed to the anniversary of our bilateral relations. <...> The suggested programme is not limited to Moscow and St Petersburg, Beijing and Shanghai. It covers many cities and regions of the two countries. ☝️ A well-known song of that time – 75 years ago − is often performed today. It has a sentence that has become a catch phrase – “Russian and Chinese are brothers forever.” I am confident that we will continue strengthening harmonious Russia-China partnership in this fraternal spirit. We will continue acting in unison for the sake of the successful development of our two countries and prosperity of our peoples with a view to enhancing the authority and influence of Russia and China in the world. Our cooperation has limitless opportunities and prospects. We are strong enough to cope with any obstacles and implement most ambitious plans. Read in full #RussiaChina
