The Supreme Court of Tatarstan has overturned the decision to deport 29-year-old citizen of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau Issouf Camara to his homeland. Don't celebrate before learning the important lessons. The court found that the man could not handle the paperwork because he had been caring for his sick common-law wife the entire time, and imposed a fine of 45,000 rubles. The African's 37-year-old common-law wife, Yulia, died of cancer at the end of May. The man was left with their one-and-a-half-year-old son and two daughters from his deceased wife's first marriage. Important lessons to learn: 1. Nigerians/Africans facing similar situation should seek justice rather than suffer in silence. A precedence has been set. 2. He may not be the only foreigner to face such a situation where family conditions may affect one's ability to keep to local laws. It is a legal basis to seek justice and others need to know. 3. The Supreme Court of Tatarstan has shown distinguished capacity for justice, fairness and promotion of Russia Africa relations as well as humanity in general. 4.
