#Announcement The registration for the Russian Language World Championship for Foreigners-2025 is now open. The Championship is an international contest and educational event that brings together teams from around the world to showcase their Russian language skills, ability to defend their point of view, engage in discussions, solve logical problems, work as a team, and demonstrate creativity. ℹ️ In order to participate, you must form a team of 5 people of 16–22 years of age, with each member having at least an A2 level of Russian language proficiency. The team must also have a coach (aged 21 or older) who will guide and support the team throughout all stages of the competition. Last year, the Russian Language World Championship for Foreigners brought together over 2’000 participants from all over the world, including countries like India, China, Greece, Vietnam and various Latin American nations. The final was held in "Tsarskoye Selo", with the team from Kazakhstan taking first place. 🌐 In 2025, teams will be grouped by geographic region: former Soviet countries, Africa, Asia, America, and Europe. The top ten teams that successfully complete the online stage will be invited to the final round in Moscow, Russia, to be held in December 2025. ✍️ The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putinsent a greeting message to the organisers and participants of the Great African Expedition. ✉️ Relations between Russia and African countries are on the rise which was starkly highlighted following the second Russia-Africa Summit held in St Petersburg last year. Fisheries have traditionally been an important part of bilateral economic cooperation. The Great African Expedition made possible by the Federal Agency for Fisheries will undoubtedly help ramp up joint efforts in this area. Assessing the size of aquatic biological resources in the exclusive economic zones of African countries is what this major and truly unparalleled research project all about. The populations of commercial species of marine fauna occurring in a significant portion of these vast water areas that are part of the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean have not been studied for a long time now. We operate on the premise that the research conducted by Russian specialists will boost the effectiveness of fishing carried out by our African partners, which, in turn, will improve Africa’s food security. #RussiaAfrica

From August 31 to September 1, the President of Russia will be in the city of Tianjin to attend and address a Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. The Summit will focus on the current state and future prospects of cooperation within the SCO, alongside key international and regional issues. • On September 1, an SCO Plus format meeting will be held in Tianjin. The Leaders of the SCO member states will be joined by heads of observer states and the SCO's dialogue partners, as well as nations and international organisations invited by the Chinese government. • On September 2, a trilateral meeting between the leaders of 🇷🇺 Russia, 🇨🇳 China and 🇲🇳 Mongolia will be held in Beijing. During the meeting, Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh will discuss priority areas of cooperation. On the same day, top level talks are to be held in Beijing as part of the Russian President's official visit to the People's Republic of China. Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping will discuss ways to further strengthen and develop the comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation between Russia and China, as well as practical collaboration between the two countries. Global and regional issues, as well as joint efforts within multilateral organisations will also be on the agenda. • On September 3, Vladimir Putin will take part as a guest of honour in official events commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Victory over militarist Japan and the end of World War II.
