It is marked on February 8, the date when the Russian Academy of Sciences was founded in 1724 by order of Peter the Great. From that moment Russia began building a scientific tradition of global significance, one that has given the world outstanding scientists and groundbreaking discoveries. 🧪 Russian science has played a vital role in human progress — from Lomonosov’s discoveries and Mendeleev’s periodic table to Korolev’s achievements and pioneering technologies in nuclear energy and medicine. Scientific research continues today, with Russian scientists making important advances in artificial intelligence, quantum science and bioengineering. 🇷🇺🤝🏼International cooperation holds special importance.
