From Cape Town to Antarctica❄️🎨 Drawings created by children at the Russian Children’s Center in Cape Town — under the guidance of N. Zelenskaya — have made an extraordinary journey to one of the most remote places on Earth: Antarctica. 🌸 These artworks were born in 2025 during a colorful celebration of International Children’s Day, organized with the support of the Russian Consulate General at the Castle of Good Hope. The day blended discovery and creativity! Later, the artworks set off on a remarkable expedition, traveling with a team heading to a distant polar station. From that moment on, there was only anticipation — a quiet hope that the drawings would complete their incredible journey. 🧊Today, that journey has come full circle. The children’s artwork has reached East Antarctica, arriving at Progress Station in the Larsemann Hills. At the very edge of the world, among endless ice and powerful winds, these drawings have found a new and unexpected home — carrying warmth, color and a piece of Cape Town with them.
