The AI laboratory "Skolkovo" studied how cultural aspects affect AI responses. Key findings include: • The language used in questions greatly impacts LLM answers, with variations in responses being smaller across different models in the same language than within the same model across different languages. • Russian models (GigaChat and YandexGPT) tend to reject competition, forgive mistakes, exhibit lower power distance, and show a long-term orientation compared to American and Chinese models. While these traits resemble some Scandinavian cultural patterns, no significant differences were found in other Hofstede dimensions. • Only Russian models display a "bimodal" distribution in individualism and uncertainty avoidance. GigaChat and YandexGPT sometimes respond as individualists and other times as collectivists, aligning with findings from a 2015-2016 study of the Russian population.
