Новое интересное понятие:-) In 2014, a study by the American media outlet She Knows asked over 600 women about advertising. The study found that 91% of the women believe that how women are shown in ads affects their self-esteem. Also, 94% think that sexualizing women is harmful. In 2018, researchers from Women’s Health Victoria in Australia found that unrealistic images of women in ads can lead to body dissatisfaction, eating disorders, and low self-esteem. They also found that men who see these images often are more accepting of sexual violence and harassment. American researcher William O’Barr noted that women in ads are usually shown as passive and focused on their looks, while men are shown as active and sporty. Women are often seen in limited roles, mostly as mothers or homemakers. To address these problems, the idea of "femvertising" was created. This term combines "female" and "advertising." Femvertising aims to challenge gender stereotypes in ads and promote a more positive and empowering image of women. Больше в первоисточнике
