Today is Wednesday and as usual we are talking about words we should not confuse. I give explanations and provide examples. Today the words are Hope vs. Wish 🔹Hope Используется для выражения желания или ожидания чего-то, что возможно в будущем. Обычно за ним следует глагол в простом настоящем или настоящем продолженном времени, или "to" + инфинитив. I hope it doesn’t rain tomorrow. We hope to visit France next year. She hopes they are enjoying their vacation. 🔹Wish Используется для выражения желания чего-то, что не является правдой или маловероятно произойдет. Present Followed by a verb in the past simple form. I wish I had more free time. (I don’t have enough free time now.) She wishes she lived closer to her family. Past Followed by “had” + past participle. I wish I had studied harder for the exam. They wish they had chosen a different vacation destination. Future (unlikely) Followed by “would” + base form of the verb. I wish it would stop raining. He wishes she would call him. #Vocabulary
