#General_notes Продолжаем настраиваться на предстоящие праздники! У всех есть свитер с оленями?😊😊😊😊 The ugly Christmas sweater (UCS) has become a popular part of holiday culture in the last ten years. It started in the 1950s as "Jingle Bell Sweaters." At first, people thought they were ugly, but they became liked in the 1980s because of characters like Chevy Chase in "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." By the early 2000s, the UCS became a funny tradition. The first parties for these sweaters started in Vancouver in 2002. This trend grew fast, and both cheap and expensive brands began to sell them. In 2012, charity events like Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day made the UCS even more popular. Social media also helped people show off their ugly sweaters. Now, everyone from kids to celebrities wears them. They are a fun way to enjoy the holidays and relax. P.S. Напомню, фильм о Бриджит Джонс – замечательный способ подтянуть английский:-) Больше по теме свитеров, как обычно, на английском. Учите язык 🙂
