Reporter asks Trump if he could potentially appoint Ron DeSantis to a cabinet position, and Trump left the door open by saying "I like him a lot." DeSantis' term is up in Jan. 2027. He needs a federal level position to keep his presidential dreams alive. Teaming up with Trump is likely the most logical path forward, unless he's thinking about running for the senate first. DeSantis and President Trump had lunch last week and it went well. So it could happen. Trump can forgive anybody. He had beef with Marco Rubio back in the days, and Rubio is now his right-hand man. And Elon Musk, of course. It would be interesting to see what happens next.
