President Trump has hit his lowest approval rating since taking office for his second term in the White House, according to a Decision Desk HQ (DDHQ) polling average. Trump’s approval rating stands at an average of nearly 42 percent, with an average disapproval rating of close to 55 percent, according to DDHQ. “If you have a major event like basically [the] longest shutdown in history, and it also happens to be the time when Trump’s approval rating drops and then kind of stays down to a degree we haven’t quite seen in his time in office, at least the second time around, I think you have to say the shutdown’s at least part of the story,” said Geoffrey Skelley, chief elections analyst at DDHQ. The government shutdown has dragged on for a record 43 days, though Congress looks poised to end the stalemate. Senate Democrats helped Republicans advance a government funding bill over the weekend that lasts through the end of January, with Republicans agreeing to allow for a separate vote over health care subsidies. The House is expected to vote on the bill on Wednesday. Trump has largely been in the mid-40s for most of his presidency so far. Skelley noted that it’s difficult for any president to remain over 50 percent in their approval ratings and that Trump is grappling with frustration over the country’s current track, as well as the economy. Skelley said he anticipates Trump will see a small rebound again once the shutdown is over. “If his floor is around 40 percent or maybe even the high 30s, can it actually dip below that, or will it just bounce back up into the mid-40s now that the government shutdown is over?” Skelley said. He also noted that Trump’s approval rating is higher than it was at a similar point during his first term in office. Polling from Gallup, for example, showed the president’s approval rating in November 2017 was between 35 percent and 28 percent, while a survey from The Washington Post and ABC News released that same month showed Trump at 37 percent approval. #Trump#Poll 👂More on Trump's Ear

Americans broadly disapprove of how President Donald Trump is handling his job, and a majority say he has gone too far in exercising the powers of his office, according to a Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll. But a year out from the 2026 midterm elections, there is little evidence that negative impressions of Trump’s performance have accrued to the benefit of the Democratic Party, with voters split almost evenly in their support for Democrats and Republicans. #Trump#Poll 👂More on Trump's Ear

More U.S. adults support President Donald Trump’s handling of the conflict in Israel after he brokered a ceasefire deal in Gaza, a new AP-NORC poll finds — but his approval ratings on domestic issues remain weak. The survey from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research reveals that Trump’s apparent success on the world stage has not yet improved his overall standing at home. In interviews, even some of his voters said he needs to do more to address issues such as the economy, health care and immigration. #Trump#Poll 👂More on Trump's Ear ⚠️

Despite whipsaw-like tariff announcements, a weakening economy, and domestic challenges, President Trump’s polling so far is best described as remarkably consistent. 📈📉 As the final quarter of 2025 begins, Trump’s approval rating per New York Times’ polling aggregator sits at 54 percent disapprove versus 43 percent approve. Going as far back as mid-April, those numbers have been virtually frozen within a 3-point range. Other aggregators, such as RealClearPolitics’ show the same picture. These suggest that both Trump’s ceiling and floor appear to be extremely solid. Whether or not that general consistency holds in the wake of the government shutdown, which began Wednesday, remains to be seen. It also has tremendous implications for the upcoming midterms. Put another way, voters who back Trump continue to, and those who oppose him also continue to. For the GOP to be successful in midterms, they need to reach independents who voted for Trump’s economic inflation, immigration and crime policies. Democrats need to show that Trump either is not living up to his promises, or is making those issues considerably worse. To that end, while Trump’s polling may be range bound, under the surface, warning signs should be flashing, not only for the GOP, but also for Democrats, who remain considerably unpopular. For Trump and Republicans, it should be alarming that 6 in 10 (59 percent) of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track, with a similar 60 percent disapproving of Trump’s handling of inflation and prices, per YouGov/Economist polling. A majority of Americans disapprove of Trump’s handling of the overall economy and healthcare (53 percent disapprove for each) according to the same poll. And given that this shutdown is over health care funding, the administration will need to make its case to prevent a further slide in Trump’s numbers. At the same time, 26 percent of voters, and a similar 24 percent of independents, said the economy is “excellent” or “good” in a recent New York Times/Siena poll, reflecting a growing trend of economic pessimism. #Trump#Poll 👂More on Trump's Ear ⚠️

President Donald Trump’s expansion of executive power, including his unprecedented push to send troops into U.S. cities to combat crime and his attempt to seize control of aspects of the economy, has left Americans uneasy, a new Reuters/Ipsos poll found. The findings suggest that a substantial majority of the public favors limits on presidential power and does not approve of Trump’s efforts to shatter longstanding norms. “President Trump has not convinced most Americans that there is an emergency in this country that requires greatly expanded presidential power to address,” said David Hopkins, a political scientist at Boston College. Over the last few weeks, Trump's administration has taken control of the Washington, D.C., police department and deployed National Guard troops to the city, claiming that crime there is out of control. He has discussed sending troops to Chicago and New Orleans as well. On crime, only 32% of Americans said they would feel safer with armed soldiers deployed to large cities in their state, the poll found. Some 62% of Trump's fellow Republicans were warm to military patrols in big cities, but only one in four independents felt the same way, as did just one in 10 Democrats. #Trump#Poll 👂More on Trump's Ear ⚠️

In recent years, the "educational gap" has been noticeable in the U.S. 🇺🇸: Americans with higher education 🎓 are increasingly voting for Democrats, while voters without higher education (especially whites) support Republicans 🐘. In 2024, 48% of Kamala Harris's voters had higher education, while 51% did not. Among Trump voters, 67% had no higher education, and only 33% graduated from university 🎓. A recent study shows the "education gap" has reached Congress 🏛. In 1973, 55% of Republican senators were graduates of top 20 universities. By 2021, this dropped to 34%, and by 2025 to 26%. Meanwhile, Democrats graduating from elite universities rose from 46% to 52% 📈. The gap in the House of Representatives is stark: from 1973 to 2021, Republicans with elite degrees fell from 40% to 15%, while Democrats increased from 31% to 38%. In the 1970s, 9% of Democrats and 10% of Republicans in the House had Harvard degrees 🎓. By 2021, 15% of Democrats and 3% of Republicans were Harvard grads. In the 1970s-80s, over 10% of Republican senators were Yale graduates, but from 2003 to 2021, none (except J.D. Vance in 2022) 🏫. Researchers say the higher education levels in the 1970s-80s fostered bipartisan cooperation 🤝, while today’s educational differences fuel party polarization ⚔️. #Trump#Poll 👂More on Trump's Ear ⚠️

we are humans and we make mistakes. when we make mistakes and we regret it, we feel sorry to the person we have done wrong to. sometimes we get the chance to say sorry, sometimes we don't. sometimes we get misunderstood and we get the chance to explain the other side of the story, but sometimes we don't get that chance. sometimes it takes quite a long time for us to realize our mistakes and feel sorry, so we refrain ourselves from saying sorry to that person because we don' want the wound from the past to bleed again. the point is, even when sometimes we do not say sorry and not able to explain ourselves, we do feel sorry – and that's the most important because that feeling will guide us to not do it again and do good things to redeem our mistakes. 🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃🍃 similarly, when people do wrong things to us, think about it; think about the times when we have done wrong to a person and we are really sorry but didn't get the chance to say sorry, etc. maybe, the reason why some people do mean things to you and still haven't apologize to you is because of that too. so, don't wait for a person to apologize to you to forgive them, because even people who says sorry sometimes don't mean it – so don't bother to wait for a person to say sorry to you to forgive them; just forgive them knowing that we ourselves made some mistakes and wrong things to another person too. furthermore, forgiving lightens your heart, it frees you from the pain of the past. #thoughts#poll @quietworld🍃

is it God speaking to you, when in the midst of anger and chaos in your mind and heart, suddenly it becomes quiet and calm and you hear your own heart giving you a piece of advice, you listen it from your heart, but it feels different as if the persona behind the voice isn't like you at all; as if there's another heart in you that is speaking; because the advice doesn't reflect how you usually think and feel. & the piece of advice never cross your mind, you didn't contemplate or think until you come up with that 'idea' or advice, it just out of sudden – it comes along with quietness and calm that cuts the chaos that suffocates your heart and mind out of the blue. have you ever experienced that? #thoughts#poll @quietworld🍃

Have you ever hit a moment in your life where you just feel like you want to disappear from the lives of everyone you know as if you never existed and you just wish you can start a fresh new beginning? but you know that that's not how life works so you just go to the extent of deactivating your socmed accounts, leaving all groups, disconnecting from everything and lock yourself most of the time in your own room for days or a week just to get the shit in your head together again? 🙂 #poll#thoughts I've been through that & it's really hard to explain exactly why, it's just . that . & sometimes it's not because of the things outside, not because of someone else or whatsoever but it is just me. sometimes it took me that to recharge myself when I got tired of others' expectation of me and what I expect from myself. I should take better care of myself from now on.😌 @quietworld🍃

I'm working in a place where it is 8+ hours drive away from my hometown, and I intend to bring my Pablo le cat along, but he is deeply loved by my family too 😭 but if I leave my Pablo behind, he will miss me very much – when he finally get to see me after I left him for a month before, he became more clingy to me as if he fears that I'll leave him again 🥺 but if I bring him along with me, he will be deeply missed by my family and I wonder if he could adapt better in his new place with me if I bring him along 🤔 😖 #thoughts#poll @quietworld🍃 Should I...

Hi dear subscribers 🌻 This is somewhat like an appreciation post. Firstly, I wanna say thank you for joining and staying in @QuietWorld🍃😘 Most of all, thanks to those who reacted to my posts and contacted me through @qw_qwbot especially those who gave me words of assurance to calm me after reading my venting posts in this channel 🙆🏻‍♀ Thanks a lot! People like you make this world a better place, even when you do not know me in real life, you showed me that you care and I feel touched :') & the reason why I often write in this channel to vent about things that bothered me, was not because I don't have real life friends to share them with, but because I tend to share my problems generally; and share more on my feelings about the problem instead of talking about it specifically – that's why I tend not to share it with my real life friends because of course they would like to know more and in details and I feel uncomfortable to talk about anything heavy that's bothering me in details because it is so exhausting 😖 Not because I don't trust my friends enough, but it is exhausting for me to talk about my problems in details; and if I share with them generally, then I fear that they might misunderstood – at the same time it is too exhausting for me to share in details; you know? 😂 do you guys get me? if so then gimme '👍' 😂 Furthermore, I feel uncomfortable sharing my problems with people who know me in real life especially when the problems are family or people related, etc. because then I would feel as if I'm exposing my family and myself or anyone related in a negative way, and that wouldn't make me feel any better. That is why, I often prefer to just write my feelings away. Write what I feel, let it out here in this channel without being specific of the things or problems that caused those emotions. & yeah, that's how I would like to let my steam off sometimes. & again, I wanna say thank you to those who gave me some words of assurance to calm me and motivate me via @qw_qwbot after reading my venting posts 😘 I'm so grateful and feel lucky to have you guys in my channel 🌹🥰 So yeah, does anyone here can feel me? I mean like, somewhat similar as me in this issue? 👀 Tap on the '❤' 😉 #thoughts#poll @quietworld🍃
