Today we celebrate World Wildlife Day, raising awareness about the importance of protecting wildlife and preserving biodiversity. 🌏 On December 20, 2013, the United Nations officially declared March 3 as World Wildlife Day. This year also marks the 40th anniversary of the 1973 Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
Wildlife has ecological, genetic, social, economic, scientific, cultural, and aesthetic value. That’s why people often seek the peace of wild nature away from noisy cities. 🌲🦉
Our great scholars emphasized respecting nature and maintaining balance:
Muḥammad Muso Khorezmi: “Know that if the eyes of the river weep, sorrow will fall upon it.”
Abu Nasr Farabi: insights on human body, nutrition, and diseases.
Abu Rayhan Beruni: studies on plants and animals, their biological traits and economic importance.
Avicenna (Ibn Sina): advice on health, hygiene, diet, and natural remedies.

🌳 Alarm from Residents of Olmazor Business City: Trees at Risk of Destruction!
Residents of Olmazor Business City are raising the alarm: in the Olmazor district of Tashkent, along the Kichik Chalk Canal (5A Kichik Xalka Yo‘li Street), the construction of a multi-story building is ongoing. On the construction site, long-standing trees used to grow, but now they have become victims of the developers’ destructive methods — their roots are exposed, and any delay could lead to the trees drying out and being cut down.
People are asking: why destroy nature for yet another building? Trees are not only a source of the city’s beauty but also provide clean air, shade, and life for residents.

🌱 An Environmental Knowledge Contest Held in Jomboy District
The district stage of the republican review contest “Do You Know Environmental Laws?” was held in Jomboy District.
Teams of students aged 14 to 17 took part in the competition. The contest was conducted in four stages and featured lively and intense debates.
