Workshop diadakan oleh WHO South East Asia Region Office (SEARO), bertujuan untuk membangun kapasitas nasional dalam mengoptimalkan penggunaan antibakteri melalui implementasi program antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) dan klasifikasi Access, Watch and Reserve (AWaRe) yang diluncurkan oleh WHO tahun 2017. • Dibuka oleh Menteri Kesehatan Bhutan, Dr Lyonpo Dechen Wangmo, workshop ini dihadiri 46 peserta dari 8 negara South East Asia Region: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Maldives, Thailand, Timor Leste (3 negara berhalangan hadir) dan beberapa NGO (MSF). Fasilitator berasal dari WHO HQ (Headquarter), WHO SEARO, dan expert. • Indonesia diwakili oleh 3 orang delegasi: 1. DR dr Muchlis Achsan Udji Sofro SpPD-KPTI, KPRA Kemenkes, RSUP Kariadi Semarang. 2. dr. Ida Bagus Anom, Direktorat Pelayanan Kesehatan Rujukan, Kemenkes RI. 3. Erie Gusnellyanti, Apt, MKM, Direktorat Pelayanan Kefarmasian, Kemenkes RI. Disupport oleh dr. Benyamin Sihombing, MPH dari WHO Indonesia. • Fasilitator memaparkan tentang klasifikasi AWARE (Access, Watch, Reserve) untuk antibiotik yang akan diterapkan dalam Essential Medicines List (DOEN) dan Pedoman Penggunaan Antibiotik semua negara anggota WHO. Dipaparkan juga metode surveilans penggunaan antimikroba (AMU) dan konsumsi Antimikroba (AMC) dalam kerangka GLASS (Global Antimicrobial Resistance Surveilance System) dan Antimicrobial Stewardship. • Workshop ini merupakan bagian dari implementasi strategic objective 4 dari Global Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance (GAP AMR), yaitu "Optimising the Use of Antimicrobial" • Tiap delegasi memaparkan upaya pengendalian AMR dan implementasi program AMS di masing-masing negara melalui poster. Tiap negara belajar dari keberhasilan negara lain dan masukan dari expert. • Sebagai output dari workshop, negara menyusun rencana aksi jangka pendek (2019) dan jangka menengah (2020 - 2021) untuk implementasi program AMS di level nasional dan rumah sakit yang dipandu oleh fasilitator. #antimicrobialresistance#antimicrobialstewardship
