Ant Group’s Consumer Finance Unit in Chongqing Wins Operating Approval
Chongqing Ant Consumer Finance Co. Ltd., has won approval to begin operating in the southwestern Chinese city, the Chongqing bureau of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission announced. Ant holds a 50% stake while six other shareholders own the remainder of the consumer finance unit, which will serve the needs of consumers while continually enhancing the quality of financial services and risk management capabilities. Several companies including Ant Group, Mastercard, and BBVA formed a global partnership called the Every Action Counts coalition to encourage greener consumer behavior.
