Apparently, her whole family is coming over for Christmas, so it's all on her to clean the whole house and cook every meal for these people with no help from her husband or her teenaged son. She tried to pass it off as a joke, but I had a hard time hiding how upset hearing this made me. This woman works so hard all the time at her full-time job and is also swamped having to take care of her ailing mother, not to mention being a mother herself. Yet her lump of a husband can't be bothered to lift a single finger to lighten the load, even on a holiday. What a true, honest-to-God piece of shit.
