Did you know that the snow leopard (irbis) has the longest tail of all big cats? 🔻In Russian they are called: • Ирбис (ирбисы) [ir-bis ( ir-bi-sy)] = • Снежный барс (барсы) [snyezh-nyj bars (bar-sy)] = • Снежный леопард (леопарды) [snyezh-nyj li-a-part (li-a-par-dy)] 🔻These cats can jump up to 6 meters in length and 3 meters in height. 🔻Snow leopards live high in the mountains, at altitudes of up to 6000 meters! 🔻The snow leopard is constantly nomadic. 🔻The lifespan of these animals is 20-25 years. 🔻The snow leopard lives exclusively in cold climates. 🔻It is found in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Khakassia, Tuva, the Altai Republic, Buryatia, and in the mountains of the Eastern Sayan. 🔻Currently, the snow leopard population is catastrophically low — between 2,700 and 3,400. 🔻In the 20th century, it was listed in the Red Book of Russia. #fact_file #Russiannature #brief_and_interesting 😎RCRussian | Support | Boost
