#OTD in 1961: the first freedom ride left Washington, DC, bound for New Orleans. The freedom riders courageously put their lives on the line to challenge the inequities of segregation in the South, and their actions were critical to the success of the Civil Rights Movement.

On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we mourn the 6 million innocent Jewish lives taken during the Holocaust. As anti-Semitism continues to rise in the U.S. and around the globe, it's on us all to speak out against hatred and bigotry—wherever and whenever we see it. #NeverAgain is now.
