Phil Sutcliffe speaks about the issues that motivated him to run in the local elections. "It's spot-the-Irishman now in town. There are people who are actually afraid to come to the city centre ... If you go into O'Connell St today or even up to Parnell Square, it's like being in Africa." Sutcliffe, who was Conor McGregor's childhood boxing coach, is running for both the Drimnagh-Ballyfermot and Kimmage-Rathmines wards on June 7th. 🔗youtube.com 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

The buses have departed. Ballyogan stood firm, successfully holding off the push for now. Great to see community members of all ages coming out to help. 🔗facebook.com 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

Ballyogan is putting up a good resistance, managing to prevent four buses of asylum seekers and their belongings entering the grounds of the recycling centre for the last few hours. 300 Ukrainians had been staying at a council owned facility inside the grounds for the last two years but the intention is to now swap them out. This will become a common manoeuvre in the months ahead for other sites presently accommodating Ukrainians. EU and local election candidate Philip Dwyer was down talking to some of the locals earlier. 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

100 tents cleared along the Grand Canal today but no busses to bring the migrants anywhere. Apparently 89 emails were sent out telling them where their alternative accommodation was. There's now over one kilometer of fencing stretching from Grand Canal Street up to Lesson Street on both sides of the canal. There had been one small patch along Wilton Terrace where the men had been camping but this will be fenced off now as a purely optics based solution as the govt was concerned about the impression the daily tent counts was having on on their key voting demographic. But as the man taking this video recognises, with 400 asylum seekers continuing to arrive each week, the problem will only get worse until asylum seekers are physically removed from Ireland. Ireland needs a Rwanda plan. 🔗tiktok.com 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

The construction contractor tasked with building 84 modular homes for 328 foreigners next to a halting site in Clonmel has pulled out after the rental company providing their heavy machinery refused to supply any more. Two of their excavators were burnt out on Thursday night. A portable security tower with cameras, which was subsequently brought to the site, has also been vandalized. A 200-year-old tree on the site, targeted for removal and claimed by some to be a fairy tree, still stands. 🧚 🔗tiktok.com 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland

At the Blarney Stone guesthouse on the Western Road in Cork, which earns €125K a month to rent out their 12 bedrooms for the accommodation of so-called asylum seekers. One of the men attacked the other with a screwdriver. Drakeford Limited, who own the property, also bought Abbeyville House in Fermoy for the same purpose. 🔗x.com | @derekpublic 👉🏻join Late Stage Ireland
