We have fought a battle, a long long ago. We might have won, but in pale yellow burnt scripts, there isn't any Trace, Though we believe, we utterly, dearly keep Faith In it's victory, and for it did win for our fate. I remember them saying, 'Through it's virtue God brought us Morals. And to continue we shall act upon our deeds, correct what one feels.' Never really did they emphasized on Ethics, As in pale yellow burnt scripts they might have found some invisible trace's of ink. And it might have said to them, ' Through what you believe, comes enactment of your deed, here's a path, don't bend,walk straight, here are rules, don't break, walk straight' And onwards and ahead, With God's sheer-sheer Grace, we Shall keep moving. LILIES AND ROSE I rushed to the store and bought a bouquet of lilies and a red rose. I was like an enthusiastic guitar, gleeful; cheerful and indeed, grateful. I decorated the house with fairy lights and the rooms with crimson ribbons and balloons. I smile through the memories as how on our first Valentine's Day I proposed her with a ring of platinum and bouquet of lilies! Lilies are her favourite and so are mine! I love my babe, I love her pleasant smile! I remember brushing her cheeks with white lilies and did I tell you that her name too, is Lily! Must be wondering why I bought a red rose!? Let me tell you as I drive along. An hour ago, Lily gave birth to a baby girl, who owns that velvet rose and happiness of many more! Perfect. I reached in time. There's my family. Mom, dad, in-laws. Numerous smiles; blooming happiness. The moment, I wish I could pause! I push the door and see my lifelines; my queen and my princess! "Papa's here with lovely lilies and Wow, a crimson rose! ", she says as I kiss her forehead and hand her the bouquet I bore. I look at my precious child. Her daddy-like features and mom-like skin pinkish white! The rose adorns my angel as I rest her in my arms. I gently peck her little fingers and pray, "let there be more love in the world my lord, for I'm blessed with so much; what more can I want! I ain't sure of what I'm feeling, if it is infatuation or love, but seeing you gives me calmness, makes me feel like a dove. If I reach out to you, would you think I'm wierd or a creep? Or would you think it's just a timepass, and silently take my leave? The date I know the day I don't, Finding resembling faces amidst unknown. I saw her like the festival of light, Spreading glee all day all night. Bewitched by her little smile, I walked beyond my mile. Under the open starlit sky, I think of her until sleep passes me by. I saw her like the winter sun, Wiping darkness with the crack of dawn. I saw her like an oasis of serenity, With a glance conquering uncertainty. Comely face as a blessing of nature, Beautiful hair as monsoon cloud creature. Falling from the high above, Condensed on my window pane. Gestures she made I can do nothing but gaze, Beauty in her eye can create a raze.
