#TellTheWorldAboutYourHomeland 🇷🇺 Ahead of #RussiaDay, kids from the nation have been sharing their love and insights regarding the Motherland, its landmarks, traditions and places of interests of their regions - all part of the Tell the World about Your Homeland contest, 6th edition. #Kamchatka Hailing from a truly amazing region of Russia, one of the most beautiful places on earth, Adelina, Matvei and Ulyana share insights into the role of dogs in everyday life and history of their home region and the unique traditions of dog sledding. #FunFacts 🌋 Kamchatka is home to 300 volcanoes, 29 of which are active. The most famous of these is Klyuchevskaya Sopka, which at an impressive 4,750 metres is the highest active volcano in Eurasia. 💧 Kamchatka is famous for its unique geysers. The Geyser Valley is one of the most amazing places in Russia and the world. This small area is impressively rich in hot springs. 🐻 The region’s diverse nature supports a variety of ecosystems and wildlife, including brown bears, bighorn sheep, reindeer and sea lions. Kamchatka bears are particularly large and numerous. 🐟 Kamchatka has earned a reputation as the salmon capital of the world, with its rivers and lakes teeming with this type of fish. Every year millions of salmon come to spawn, making it Russia's largest fishing centre. 🏞 Kamchatka is proud of its many nature reserves, which cover almost 30 per cent of its total area. The most famous of these are the Kronotsky Nature Biosphere Reserve and the South Kamchatka Federal Game Reserve, both of which are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. 🌿 Kamchatka is also famous for its rich flora. Forty rare and endangered plant species are found around mineral hot springs and fumaroles, four of which are endemic to Kamchatka. #RussiaDay2024

As is traditional, on Russia Day, the President presented the Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation gold medals and the 2023 Russian Federation National Awards in science and technology, literature and the arts, and for outstanding achievements in human rights and charity work in the Grand Kremlin Palace’s St George Hall. I wish you all the very best on Russia Day! This is a national holiday that is dedicated to our Motherland. 🇷🇺 On June 11, the Russian Embassy in Ethiopia held a state reception on the occasion of Russia Day. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Ethiopia H.E. Mr. Evgeny Terekhin and Director General for European and American Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia H.E. Mr. Zenebe Kebede addressed the guests with welcoming speeches. Russian folk dances and songs were performed as a part of the cultural program of the event. ***************** 🇷🇺 11 июня в Посольстве России в Эфиопии состоялся государственный прием, приуроченный ко Дню России. Ambassador Evgeny Terekhin on Russia's National Day Key points: 🗓️This day became not only a symbol of cardinal democratic and economic transformations, but also of the whole historical path of the Russian state. 🚧 Despite all the obstacles we are facing and the illegitimate sanctions imposed against us, Russia remains one of the key participants in global trade and is rapidly expanding the new logistics and geography of cooperation. 📍Certain Western States refuse to recognize and accept the realities of a multipolar world and, on this basis, to agree on the parameters and principles of the new world order. 🇷🇺🇪🇹We highly appreciate the cooperation between our countries on the international stage.
