Financial Conduct Authority планируют сделать единым надзорным органом по AML/CTF для профессиональных услуг. Это означает резкое сокращение роли Solicitors Regulation Authority и фактический уход от модели, где юридическую профессию контролирует регулятор, понимающий ее изнутри. Инициатива идет от HM Treasury, а The Law Society открыто предупреждает о рисках: потеря отраслевой специфики, давление на legal professional privilege, рост комплаенс-издержек, дублирование регулирования и размывание practitioner-led guidance. По сути, речь не просто об AML, а о смене философии надзора над юридической профессией.
