It's a continuation of a prototype developed ontop of the Vosk speech recognition toolkit. It supports multiple languages and is incredibly easy to use. Although it lacks punctuation, it is accurate in its transcription. Mark this as a huge win for the friendly software space. F-Droid Gets Faster Repo Updates with New Repository Format @takebackourtech | SOURCE Ever wait forever for F-Droid to 'load' its apps? That's because F-Droid is loading its repository index, which includes a list of all 4056 apps and their metadata (including where to connect to download them). Good news, F-Droid has just released (March 1st) version 1.16 of the F-Droid client that uses a new repository format. The new app will determine what has changed and download the 'difference' files which contain only the changes. This means you are downloading a file 1/100th of the size. I just tested the speed differences, the download went from 3 minutes to a few seconds.
