⚓On March 19, 1906, by decree of Emperor Nicholas II, a new class of vessels — submarines — was introduced into the Russian Imperial Navy. The first domestic submarine project was developed in 1903 by engineer Ivan Bubnov. In total, 32 submarines were built based on his designs, including well-known types such as “Bars”, as well as “Minoga” and “Akula” — the first Russian diesel-powered submarines. 🚢 During its design phase, the first Russian submarine was called “Torpedo Boat No. 113” (the number reflecting its displacement — 113 tons), but it entered service under the name “Delfin.” It was followed by submarines such as “Kasatka,” “Beluga,” “Kambala,” “Osetr,” and “Som.” 📊 By 1914, Russia had approached World War I with one of the largest air fleets in the world and was not far behind the leading naval powers in terms of submarine numbers. In total, 73 submarines were commissioned into the Russian fleet during the pre-revolutionary period. Original Post Follow TRN👈

🎨On the most famous version of “The Scream” (1893) by Edvard Munch, kept in the National Museum of Norway, there is a barely visible pencil inscription in the upper left corner: ✏️“This could only have been painted by a madman” (Norwegian: Kan kun være malet af en gal Mand!) 🔍 Research conducted in 2021 using infrared scanning revealed that the inscription was not made by a vandal — but by the artist himself. 💬“I honestly don’t understand why we pay such f*cking taxes. I personally pay a lot — so why the hell do people with such serious illnesses have to lie in such a horrible hospital?” A Moscow resident, Anna, reacted emotionally after visiting an oncology center in Chelyabinsk. [⚠️Context — In Russia, oncology care is formally guaranteed through the state healthcare system, but conditions vary sharply by region, with major gaps between flagship clinics in Moscow and facilities in poorer provincial areas. Complaints about hospitals often combine frustration over funding, infrastructure, and the persistent belief that high taxes do not translate into decent public services. ⚠️Why it matters — Reactions like this resonate because they turn an abstract debate about healthcare spending into something visible and personal. For Russian audiences, the contrast between official promises of universal care and the reality of regional hospitals remains one of the most emotionally charged social issues.] Original Post Follow TRN👈

🏃‍♂️Novosibirsk Region Agriculture Minister Andrey Shindelov was seen literally running away from farmer Svetlana Panina, whose 200 head of livestock were allegedly unlawfully seized and slaughtered. 💬 Shindelov appears to have nothing to say to the farmers who were left ruined. [⚠️Context — The confrontation comes amid a state of emergency in the Novosibirsk region over cattle disease outbreaks, under which local authorities have culled livestock and promised compensation to affected farmers. Svetlana Panina’s case drew wider attention after reports that around 200 animals were taken and slaughtered while she was away, turning her dispute into a symbol of how quarantine enforcement is handled in rural Russia. ⚠️Why it matters — In Russia, conflicts like this resonate far beyond one farm because they combine three combustible themes: rural livelihoods, distrust of local officials, and compensation that people fear will not cover real losses. The minister’s refusal to engage made the story look less like veterinary control and more like a familiar Russian scene of bureaucracy running from accountability.] Original Post Follow TRN👈

⚠️“Russia is effectively giving Iran permission to kill American soldiers,” Stubb said. 💬 “I’m trying to explain to my American friends: there are two aspects here. First, Russia is now supplying Iran again with Shahed drones, which can be used to strike U.S. bases. Second, it is providing intelligence on the locations of American bases — which, in essence, amounts to tacit permission to kill American soldiers. And that concerns me greatly. 🇫🇮 But of course, as a Finn, I’m even more concerned about the consequences for the situation in Ukraine, because in many ways it is also our situation, and we take it very seriously. 📈 We are already seeing rising oil prices, which are effectively fueling Russia’s war machine. We see the U.S. easing sanctions on Russian oil. We see the U.S. giving India leeway to purchase Russian oil. Everything is interconnected. 🧭 And we need to refocus on Ukraine as well. That is why we need a ceasefire in Iran.” Original Post Follow TRN👈

😏IRGC representative Ebrahim Zolfaghari mocked Trump in English: 💬 “The outcome of the war is determined on the battlefield, not on Twitter. That is the very place you and your troops do not dare to approach — and the only thing you can do is talk about it in your tweets. It would be better to call this war ‘Epic Fear,’ not ‘Epic Fury.’” Original Post Follow TRN👈

📱Roskomnadzor has already exhausted its capabilities and has been trying to block Telegram for a week and a half, said a leading analyst from Mobile Research Group. ⚠️ According to him, it’s no longer possible to impose stronger restrictions — the current measures are already at their maximum. [⚠️Context — The comment refers to Eldar Murtazin of Mobile Research Group, a widely quoted Russian telecom analyst, who said the current Telegram restrictions have likely reached the technical ceiling of what Roskomnadzor can do for now. Roskomnadzor — Russia’s federal media and internet regulator — confirmed in February that it was imposing “gradual restrictions” on Telegram for alleged non-compliance with Russian law. ⚠️Why it matters — If the current slowdown is already near the maximum, the story shifts from “can they block it harder?” to “how much damage can partial throttling do without a full ban.” For Russian audiences, that matters because Telegram is too embedded in daily life, media, and official communications for disruption to remain just a technical issue.] Original Post Follow TRN👈
